After I came back home, I rested for a while. But my work is not done yet. I haf yet to prepare for the upcoming 3M session for tomorrow. After 20 mins of deserved rest, I began to search for that yellow file. I searched. and searched again.
Panic came in... I remembered I put it inside the black bag I was carrying at that time. I even called up Shafiq P, and he confirmed my memory.
~10 minutes later~
Darn it. Argh.. forget it. Might as well solve the problem facing me now. How to contribute?? What can I do now?
I looked at the purple notebook. I jotted down some notes during the observation lesson I attended with Diana. Ok. I just have to rewrite my notes. That's the best I could do. And I will do it tomorrow.
The next day, I woke up. Gosh... it's been a long time since I slept that late on a Sat morn. I must make more free time for me more often.
Did the usual routine things and focussed on my pending work. Since I am a Accountant... *ahem* I gotta prepare sum docs b4 putting all those cheques into the bank.. muahaha...
Then I focussed on 3M work. I wrote down all those points. Then I applied an idea which I had been playing around in my mind. Tips or different methods to teach Children maths.
Well, at least if Hashim and Azahar did use those points, then I got the tips to back up on. I have a hunch that it will happen.
I went to SQI, bac to my old office in NP. By the time I stepped in, Iris told me that those cheques were ready. I sat down, checked all those cheques, and prepared mine for banking. Woohooo.. they will process it by Tues...
Anyway, I went straight to Eunos CC, where we usually hold the 3M sessions, the parents and the children. I told Asryna that I might be coming late, coz I estimated I be leaving out of the office by 1 plus....
Again, I overestimated the journey time. By the time I took the bus 52 to CLementi MRT, it was pouring. I couldn't remember the journey. Blasting the music out loud, I read a book that I always brought with me. By the time i stepped my foot inside the room, it was exactly 2.30 pm. Gee.. Not late I guess. Just Punctual... duh..
All of us crowded together to discuss on what we wanted to touch on about. I spoke up, telling them that I misplaced my file, but I did make my own notes about it. What I really needed to do was to make sure that my own notes tallied with the rest. Diana looked through it, and pointed out they were the same.
THe lesson started, with Hashim going through the notes. As time passed, he went through the notes, and spoke about the key points. But they were written down in my own notes. So the moment they talked about it, I had no choice but to use other key points that they didn't use. In the end, ALL of them were used.
I had an uneasy feeling. To me, I wanted to contribute to the lesson. But I couldn't just repeat what they said earlier. So my hunch was correct. The only thing to do was to use my idea. When nearing the end of the lesson, I brought my tips along. Hashim knew what I wanted to do and suggested me to recap the whole lesson. Thanks to him, I did manage to do that. And I spoke about the tips.
Diana and HAshim had to go early, and did not attend the briefing. We finished the session as usual, and headed back to 4PM. I rested for a while and headed into the meeting room to post all those cheques. All those cheques were confidential. They present the financial status of SQI International Pte Ltd.
I wrote the trainers' addresses, before I heard peeps bellowing out..
'Debrief!! Debrief!!' Fadzly found me packing my things and knocked on the door, motioning me to hurry up.
I rushed into the Staff's room, and they were all sitting around. I leant against the table. Briefing started...
It was fun though, the briefing. There's lots of fun, and laughter. We zeroed in to the keypoints and made suggestions to improve the session.
We shared and read out the feedback forms from the parents. We received a lot of good feedbacks though, and Hashim's name was highlighted in some of the forms though, thus giving us the impression that he is a good trainer.
I agree with them. Hashim IS a good trainer, having all those experiences and ideas that he shared with the parents, had his own way to connect to the audience... but most of all, he is fluent in Malay. It is an asset for him coz me and Azahar couldn't speak Malay as well as him.
Of course the rest of us were highlighted as well. After all those feedback, Boy was interested in joining the next phrase.
I pointed out that if you want to teach the parents, then you must be fluent in Malay. Coz both me and Azahar did struggle to speak in malay.
Azahar feedback to them on what we did. But I haf to give credit to Azahar. His style of teaching is to use practical questions and from there he reinforced those keypoints. But I sincerely hope that all of us will do our part and prepare for the next session. Blow the parents away!!

Friday night.... 28/4/2006
wow... come to think of it, i had been busy doing several things at the same time.
Last friday is my night class exam. Certificate of Early Childhood Education. Exam of Module 2, Child development.
For your info, Nan, my lecturer for my class, helped us so much. She gave us the exact question papers and made time for us to run through the qns.
but then again, we cannot just memorise the answers. We need to read thru the course notes for further understanding.
I started revising for the exam about four weeks ago. Started by reading the information related to the questions. I always have 1.5 hours of journey time to kill before arriving at work in Aljunied, so I made sure i read the notes which I selected for my daily morning reading.
Frankly speaking, I wasn't sure whether my mind could absorb all those key points just by reading. During one of the weekends, I tested my knowledge by doing the questions. I realised that i couldn't answer the essay qns. I made a mind-mapping of the answers in colours. (haha.. when my classmates spotted it, they were seriously FREAKED out. They looked at it by the whole picture, and its kinda confusing for them. And they told me to put it away...) I just kept on laughing after seeing their reactions.. heehee.. so bad of me...
After that newly discovered flaw, i practised my answers repeatedly. With the answers and the question kept in view, I eventually saw the link between the answers and the questions. The more I practised writing for the questions, the more i saw and understood the link.
I tried to help out my classmates who tried their best to study for the exams. Expecially Lily. She was really stressed out on the day itself. She couldn't remember the answers for the questions, so I suggested to her that she practise the answers like me.
She replied back later that she still couldn't remember. I advised her to write the answers with the previous answers and the questions in view. TI told her what I discovered.
2 hours later, she STILL told me she hadn't got it. Then I told her that she need a break. She was too stressed!
During the exam, I could see her writing her draft answers. the moment she finished and left the exam room before me, i felt the satisfaction of helping her.
After the exam, me, Kak Tuty with her husband, Juliah, Kak Khatijah, Julita came to the hawker centre for the planned makan session.
We ordered some dishes.. mee goreng thai, mee siam goreng, murtabak, roti john cheese and mushroom. The roti john cheese and mushroom tasted surprisingly good. I never regretted eating it. We chatted a lot, about the future assignments >_____< and others. Finally we went home, with our stomachs full and wanting to rest.

a powerful discovery I made today....
A powerful discovery that I made today...
Last Wednesday I managed to talk to Sarah, one of my good friends and also my confidante.
We updated each other on our lives. She, married and recently gave birth to a princess, while I busied myself with work and part-time studying.
She was happy that I joined this childcare course. and I told her that its better I joined this course rather than I sit sround doing nothing.
"when i think it over I realized that God wanted me to join this course"
"Interesting Statement.. y do you say that?"
I told her the whole story then. she recommended me to read up on this book secrets of a loving r/s... it is a good read.
when I went over to bugis outlet, they unfortunately do not sell this book. The same goes for the Ngee Ann outlet.
in the end, I bought a book that caught my eye... ' Women who love too much' I read it during the journey home, and i was too engrossed in it.
Stories about women who had traumatised chilhoods on every situation, and every case is analysed.
When i read over this story about a lady who had to handle a divorce as a young age, it gripped and touched me at my heart because a similar situation happened to me.
I felt an urge to cry and my brain recalled the events that happened last year. Some of the factors are also due to my childhood, because it definitely contributed to the r/s.
the lady in the story also did what I did, and it hit me in the eye. I had to know myself better and my faults, so that I can be betta in another r/s.
as i read on, i became more determined to know myself more before hurting another person in my life. I must learn my faults and correct it before I get the same situation again.
my prayer; to know my weaknesses and change them into strengths.
Recently 3 guys almost called me everyday and to make me chitchat with them. their intention is to pyscho me into entering a r/s with them.
but I feel happy right now and dun wish and dun see the need to rush into another r/s. because for me, I rather be happy single than to handle a similar situation again.
I will talk to you again... but for now, let's be happy!!

Hida's chalet
On friday night, Hida's chalet was held at Chevron. I went back from the office around 6, and reached home at 7.30 pm. Not surprising though, cos my workplace is at aljunied. Hmmm....
So I reached there around 8 plus.. When I called Hida and went into the room, I found Hida, Yiwei, Mai, Yaya, Fanin, Rozi, Hariz watching the American Idol.
I gulped down coke, and finished off a few satay sticks and chicken wing. Som time later, others wandered off to the barbecue, remaining me, yaya, Hariz and two others which I forgot their name.
We chatted further to update each other about our lives. Yaya and her friend went home around 10 pm, and left me and Hariz.
We chatted some more, before Fanin went in to join us. I can't believe that Fanin forgot my name... haha..
The subject of exes came up. I was shocked when Fanin told his story to us.. Gosh..

Going over to SQII..
There have been a lot of events going on in SQI. A lot of stress, a lot of preparation for the upcoming big event.
My decision on going to SQII is based on a lot of factors. Factors that I won't indulge here.
Mr Sim gave me a second chance. A chance to build up my planning skills, project management, teamwork, and also better communication. He told me that he would send me to improve my speaking communication skills.
Frankly speaking, I told Mr Sim about the reasons that frustrates me so much.
He noticed that I am good in writing, but not speaking. That's the problem that I am facing. Thus I am also quiet when doing my work.. haha.. I like to focus on my work, so if there is any distractions, its difficult for me.
In SQI, there is no staff training. There is so much work load for all of us and there's no time for us to go for any one.
we have just reorganised, archived our overall filing system. Next, there should be inventory control.
I have to update the status of Membership cases and courses. Good or bad, I have to disclose them.

did Project at Inshirah hse..
For this week, i woke up early everyday, even for sunday. Pretty tired, but at least I got something to do, to focus my mind on this. Was planned earlier to go to Inshirah's house today, and I did. Brought the peaches and the required info on the peaches and supposedly blueberries.
Nearly got the blueberries in Cold Storage, but the attendant told me that the product was spoiled, thus the whole batch was rejected.
Replaced it with red grapes, and which reminds me, I need to buy more peaches and red grapes, preferably seedless ones.
We experimented the recipe, and it turned out to be a success. We also tried doing our yogurt drink, the normal yogurt plus sliced banana.
We dumped banana, yogurt and also ice plus iced water into the blender and rocked the kitchen down. Both recipes tasted fantastic, and we are soooo proud of ourselves.
The deadline will be this Thursday, so we got to have everything done by Wednesday.
The lesson plan will be discussed on Wed nite, and I will have to burn the midnight oil to type it. Meanwhile, Inshirah agreed to do the posters.
When we cleaned up the kitchen, I immediately left, and forgot about the notebooks I placed in the kitchen.. Hmm.. Typical of me.
Stayed in Northpoint to see any copies of Double Score drama series being sold. I especially wanted the copy with English Subtitles. But so far, I haven't got the copy yet.
How come so few titles only got English subtitles??!! Why not Double Score??
Wah!!!
Stayed around to play arcade as usual, but now, my interest will be playing the House of the Dead 4. Frankly speaking, I did play before, but when seeing the ugly, but to mention down right gross physical features of the enermies, I felt squeamish and couldn't focus.
But when I saw siblings playing with each other, they are soo good till a crowd gathered to watch the drama.

Rediscovered my passion..
Today turned out to be a day with events of mixed reactions, both happy and sad.
Yesterday headed to the Clementi Polyclinic to treat my oil burn on my right arm. Waited till 2 hrs for my turn. Meanwhile, grabbed the chance to read my book and listening to my new found fave band of the moment: The Gospellers.
Gospellers are a band of Japanese veteran singers who lent their voices to a beautiful world of R&B and Soul. Actually, I wanted to buy Oshio's new album, but was taken aback when the staggering price of 72 bucks caught my eye at HMV Orchard.
Gospellers 10th Anniversary album then found its way into my hands, and I listened to it. The first accapella song got me hooked, and I debated for a few minutes.
Btw, found out that Oshio's album was Imported directly from Japan, thus the staggering price. But I surfed the net and found the same album selling at HALF of the price.. Needless to say, I bought it.
Highlighted my hair. Went into the salon ard 7pm.. and went out by 10 pm..
I was torn whether to take the blonde highlights or copper red highlights. When I heard the blonde ones will be washed out after 10 washes, I adruptly changed my mind.
The base colour is mahogany brown or sumting like that.. then the highlights are copper red. The intensity is brighter than I expected, though.
Okie, the story went for a detour for a while. Back to today..
Concentrated on doing the most major work. Then found some of the docs that I needed to find. Left office at sharply 1.05 pm.
Met Diana (RSP) at Hougang MRT Station... Btw, she is the latest member to be welcomed into the RSP family. and guess what? she happened to be my junior! She recognised me to be her senior when I was in NPCC.. but I actually dun recall at all.. Ironic, huh?
Went to Punggol CC first, and found ourselves in the wrong place for the 3M traning session. The place is supposed to be Punggol Park CC. We walked down the road, trying to figure out where is the place. Had the intention of not attending the class, but we reached it, and again, stepped into the wrong classroom.
We are supposed to attend the session for parents, but we ended up being surrounded by kids. Lovely kids, coming from all sizes, different background and different races.
My heart was stolen when I spotted this child, her facial features are totally chinese, and wearing a red cheongsam, fitted to her size. She didn't join the class, just running around but not creating noise.
There are some children who are totally lovely, and their radiant smiles just lifted my spirit, eased the 'burden' off my shoulders. This experience reinforces the fact that I'm in this early childcare industry for the long haul. I found what I really, realy liked. THe people connection, the trust you gain with the child.. it's fantastic!
Chatted, gushed and remembering all the moments that we spent with them... Kids, they are so innocent. HE made way the path for me.. I chose to be in this because I love kids, but also trust in His decision.
Looking forward to the day when I can finally go for teaching sessions.
Right now, for this week, gotta endure for a while because the schedule is tight... Juggling work and school, doing project and this 3M session. But I know I will finish all of these, and do all the things with the my effort.
